Pictures From The Factory

This machine is my favorite.
It cuts the leaf into two sections, taking the vein out and placing the two different sides in separate piles.

She has two stacks of leaves--right hand and left hand.
The cigars are then rolled using different machines depending on which side of the leaf they use.

This is the room where they prepare the leaves for the Maduro's. They are placed in tubs and soaked overnight.

The Maduro leaves are then hung in these crates to be aged.

These ladies are placing the leaves on this machine to be cut.
They pick the leaves carefully, making sure it is a good leaf.
The woman on the right is preparing the binder leaf.
The one on the left is preparing the wrapper.

They lay the leaf onto the plate where it is cut.

This woman is cutting the binder leaf. The filler is in the top part.

One leaf is cut at a time and the cigar is rolled.
She inspects the leaf before she places it on the machine and again after the cigar is rolled.

The "arm" picks the leaf up and moves it over to be rolled.

The filler is waiting to be rolled.

Hubcap is helping with the cigars. (This is for our fellow BOTL at C-Bid)

Craig (the owner) is showing us the "cap."

After the cigars are rolled, they go into these boxes.

The boxes of cigars then are aged to perfection.

I am not sure what this machine does... but it looks cool.

I hope you enjoyed the tour. Hopefully, this will give you a better idea of how our cigars are made.
Even though they are considered machine rolled, they are still made one at a time.
